Job summary

Sunnybrook in Toronto, ON is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform clinical and research MRI exams and support residents and fellows. The role requires hospital-based experience and registration with CMRTO and CAMRT.

You will coordinate daily scheduling, maintain patient safety, and deliver high-quality care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. IV insertion with contrast and documentation are part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• CMRTO Registration for MRI is required.
• CAMRT Registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiology residents and fellows within the division as required.

• Maintain records and documentation according to departmental policy.
• Participate in orientation of new staff and students.

Qualifications/Skills

• Responsible for care of patients within the department;
• Collects records and verifies patient clinical history as well as MRI safety screening information;
• Obtains informed consent when required;
• Performs a variety of MRI examinations (Clinical and Research) in accordance with applicable legislation, clinical standards, and departmental procedures;
• Co-ordinates daily work schedule, prioritizes and arranges emergency/add on cases as required;
• Delivers quality patient care, including as required IV insertion with administration of contrast medium;
• Participates in the orientation of new staff and students as required
• Maintains adequate records and documentation according to departmental policy and procedures;
• Performs required care and maintenance of equipment as required;
