Job summary

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, Ontario is seeking an MRI Technologist to join the Medical Imaging team. You will perform MRI examinations following physician prescriptions and established protocols.

The role offers collaboration with nursing staff, technologists, and other departments, with opportunities to participate in education, quality improvement, and patient-centered care.

Relocation assistance is available and RVH supports ongoing learning and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited MRI program.
  • Registered in good standing with CMRTIO (Ontario).
  • Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all required MRI examinations as prescribed by physicians in accordance with relevant protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain strong team environment amongst MRI technologist, MRI Technologist Assistants and Imaging Nursing Team.
  • Perform a large variety of MRI specialty procedures including cardiac imaging and breast biopsies.
  • Collaborate with the Pacemaker Clinic to perform MRI exams on patients with MRI conditional pacemakers.
  • Coordinate with the Anesthesia team to provide MRI access to young children and patients with special needs.
  • Perform MRI studies to assist radiation therapy planning.

Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited MRI program.
  • Registered in good standing with College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program.
