Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for Oakwood Commons Community in Brantford, ON. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care to residents, collaborating with the care team, and supporting families through timely communication.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation and/or senior health industry is an asset.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of good nursing and personal care.
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff.
• Oversee resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and provide guidance to staff.
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.
• Manage admissions, readmissions, and changes in status, with ongoing assessments.

Rotation: Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, Monday (biweekly)

Rate of Pay $33.45 - $35.07 (As per Collective Agreement)

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
