Jarlette Health Services is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for an on-site, part-time role at Muskoka Landing in Huntsville, Ontario. The RPN will provide direct resident care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include orientation support, participation in committees, and adherence to MOH/MLTC guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (O. Reg. 246/22, s. 51).
• Experience in a Long-Term Care (Gerontology) setting is an asset.
• Performs care planning and coordination within a diverse multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrates use of current care technology.
• Exhibits strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ensures MOH and MLTC requirements are met.

Join our team as a Registered Practical Nurse!

Reporting to the Director of Care, the role of a Registered Practical Nurse encompasses a wide range of professional nursing responsibilities in accordance with the standards of nursing practice as outlined by the College of Nurses. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, this role provides support in the coordination of care, overseeing designated nursing personnel, and executing tasks as delegated. The Registered Practical Nurse is responsible for delivering direct care in accordance with the established care plans, ensuring the accurate and timely documentation of resident information, facilitating the orientation of new team members and residents, and participating in assigned committees. This position also requires the application of quality improvement and risk management principles, as well as the efficient management of supplies and the meticulous upkeep of the physical environment and equipment.

We are looking for the following qualifications and traits:

• Candidates must possess a current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. O. Reg. 246/22, s. 51
• Experience in a Long-Term Care (Gerontology) setting is an asset
• Performs care planning and coordination of care within a diverse multidisciplinary care team
• A demonstrated use of current care technology
• Shall exhibit strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ensures all MOH and MLTC requirements are met
• Must demonstrate good communication skills
