Job summary

Sienna Senior Living seeks a Registered Practical Nurse at Norfinch Community in North York for a permanent part-time evening role. You will provide nursing care aligned with resident plans and physician orders, ensuring comfort and dignity for each resident.

You will build relationships with residents and families, supervise aides, and contribute to ongoing learning within a supportive team. Applicants must be an RPN in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses and legally eligible to

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation or senior health is an asset.
• Good judgement and ability to foster a positive work environment.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with policy, physician orders, resident plan of care, and within the RPN/LPN scope.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care.
• Create a welcoming, supportive environment through teamwork and communication.
• Oversee resident care, maintain regular communication with residents and families, and guide staff.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/unregulated staff on the unit.
• Manage admissions, readmissions, changes in status, and ongoing resident assessment.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.


• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care


• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff


• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff


• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit


• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses


• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry


• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment


• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
