Job summary

WeeCare Pediatric Home Health Care in Mississauga, ON is seeking a licensed Pediatric Registered Practical Nurse to provide in-home care. You will deliver care per plans, ensure safety, comfort, and family support, and act as a trusted extension of the client.

Schedule includes Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights 22:00–08:00 with assignment dates Oct 22–Nov 19, 2026. Applicants must be licensed with CNO, have pediatric experience, BLS, VSC within 6 months, and carry PLI.

Qualifications

LPN/RPN license in good standing with Ontario College of Nurses.
Experience working with pediatric clients.
Current BLS certification.
Vulnerable Sector Check completed within 6 months.
Professional Liability Insurance (PLI) required.

Responsibilities

Provide care per individual care plans in the home setting.
Administer and document medications as prescribed following standards.
Monitor and report changes in the child’s condition to family and WeeCare.
Assist with activities of daily living and mobility as needed.
Maintain accurate records and required documentation per CNO standards.

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday; 22:00–08:00

Please note:To be considered for this position, applicants must be able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule.

General Duties

(specific duties may vary based on individual client needs)

Provide G/GJ tube care and management
Administer and document medications as prescribed, in accordance with CNO medication administration standards
Monitor and ensure the safekeeping of medications and narcotics
Maintain the child's records and required documentation in accordance with CNO standards
Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
Observe and report changes in the child's condition to the parent/guardian and WeeCare
Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transfers, and use of adaptive aids
Demonstrate understanding of the child’s needs and support the child in maximizing their abilities
Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child and family
Respond to child and family concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up
Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including the child’s equipment and belongings
Notify the supervisor of any concerns related to the child’s safety, incidents, or accidents
Complete other duties as assigned
