Job summary

WeeCare Pediatric Home Health Care is seeking a Pediatric Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to support clients in Barrie, ON. You will provide compassionate in-home care, monitor health, administer medications, and collaborate with families to create a safe and nurturing environment for children.

You must be licensed with the College of Nurses of Ontario, have pediatric experience, and hold BLS certification. Flexible scheduling and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Experience working with pediatric clients.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the past 6 months.
• Professional Liability Insurance (PLI).

Responsibilities

• Provide G/GJ tube care and management.
• Administer and document medications as prescribed, in accordance with CNO medication administration standards.
• Monitor and ensure the safekeeping of medications and narcotics.
• Maintain the child's records and required documentation in accordance with CNO standards.
• Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living.
• Observe and report changes in the child's condition to the parent/guardian and WeeCare.
• Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transfers, and use of adaptive aids.
• Demonstrate understanding of the child's needs and support the child in maximizing their abilities.
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child and family.
• Respond to child and family concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including the child's equipment and belongings.
• Notify the supervisor of any concerns related to the child's safety, incidents, or accidents.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Position

Pediatric Registered Practical Nurse in Barrie, ON.

Schedule

• Three shifts per week; 19:00-08:00

Please note: To be considered for this position, applicants must be able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule.
