Scarborough Health Network is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for the GEN Paediatrics program at General Site. This role provides pediatric nursing care in a family-centred environment across all shifts within a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will have current CNO registration, BCLS, PALS, and breastfeeding certification, plus paediatric experience and strong assessment skills, with emphasis on patient advocacy and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Registered Practical Nurse with good standing in Ontario.
  • Current BCLS certification according to Ontario Heart and Stroke Standards.
  • Minimum two years paediatric experience.
  • PALS certificate is required.
  • Breastfeeding certificate or commitment within 3 months.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in paediatrics.
  • Provide family-centred care with multidisciplinary team.
  • Support patients and families across all shifts.
  • Demonstrate strong documentation and communication.

As part of our paediatric multidisciplinary team you will provide patient support in a family centred environment, which includes parent beds in single, family patient rooms, kitchen facilities, lounge, showers and playrooms. This position includes both independent work and team based models of care. Please note this position is required to work all shifts.
