Scarborough Health Network is inviting Registered Nurses to join an enroute-to-paediatrics program as part of a 2026 talent pool. The role focuses on paediatric inpatient, day surgery and ambulatory care supported by rotations, simulations, and mentorship.

You will deliver family‑centred nursing and collaborate across teams in SHN's Women & Children’s program. Eligible candidates are CNON‑registered, with BCLS, PALS or willing to obtain it within 6 months, and relevant paediatric experience.

Qualifications

  • Current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse in good standing.
  • Current BCLS (Heart and Stroke Foundation).
  • Current Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or willing to complete within 6 months.
  • Recent Paediatric nursing experience or recent related clinical placement.
  • Breastfeeding certificate required or commitment to complete within 3 months.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position and maintain strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality nursing care to paediatric patients and their families within a multi‑service environment.
  • Participate in a structured orientation with rotations, simulations and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with the health care team to support paediatric inpatient, day surgery and ambulatory care.

Our Women and Children’s Program is a patient and family focused care model and you will provide high quality nursing care to patients and their families.The nurse role models’ clinical excellence and the core competencies of the practice standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), Canadian Nurses’ Association (CNA) Paediatric Certification, , as well as the policies and procedures of Scarborough Health Network (SHN).
