Job summary

Sault Area Hospital is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for the Float Pool on a full-time basis (4). The role involves assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care using the Nursing Process, and providing health teaching to patients and families.

The successful candidate will make clinical decisions, reflect the hospital's mission and nursing philosophy, and participate in theory-based practice while contributing to unit objectives and standards of care.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Practical Nursing from an approved School of Nursing.
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
• Current certification in venipuncture (IV).
• Recent inpatient medical experience.
• Experience and knowledge working with geriatric population.
