The team cares for cardiac/telemetry, renal, diabetes, and complex medical patients. As an RPN you will provide care within the organization's standards, complete required courses, maintain current registration, and participate in a collaborative, interprofessional care model.

The Cardiac Renal unit is a 32-bed unit comprised of 20 telemetry beds, isolation, private, semi-private and ward beds. The team provides care to wide variety of medical patients, including: Cardiac/Telemetry, renal, diabetes, complex geriatric, respiratory, gastrointestinal and general medicine. The Cardiac Renal team ensures that all patient concerns are addressed and provides support and resources when needed. The multidisciplinary team consists of physicians, RN's, RPN's, pharmacist, social worker, dietitian, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, home and community care and patient service clerks.
As the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) you are a professional caregiver who is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with the organizational philosophy, policies and standards of care of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, the College of Nurses (CNO), and all relevant legislation.
