Job summary

Sienna Island Park Retirement Living in Campbellford requires a Registered Practical Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care at our on-site community. You will follow resident care plans, collaborate with the care team, and support families through regular updates and guidance.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the CNO.
• Experience in geriatrics or senior health is an asset.
• Eligible to work legally in Canada and able to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per physician orders and resident care plans.
• Deliver high-quality personal care with sound nursing practices.
• Create a welcoming, supportive environment through teamwork and communication.
• Oversee resident care, communicate with families, and guide staff.
• Supervise PSWs and unregulated staff on the unit.
• Assess residents during admission, readmission, or status changes.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of the Aspira Island Park Retirement Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are:

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
