Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Arnprior, ON is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for Aspira Island View Retirement Living. You will deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents, supporting health, safety and daily well-being in a warm, resident-centered environment.

This role offers nights (11:00pm-7:00am) with a competitive hourly rate and benefits package including health and dental coverage, SOAR, and an Employee Share Purchase Plan.

Qualifications

• Current registration as an RPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Current Medication Administration Certificate.
• Minimum 1 year experience in geriatric healthcare as an RPN.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or valid work permit.
• Vulnerable Sector Check required.

What makes you a great fit?

• Strong knowledge of safe medication administration, with the ability to prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and the College of Nurses of Ontario standards
• Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to following up on all concerns and complaints forwarded by a Client, family or team members and informs/seeks assistance from the Registered Nurse or designate
• Promoting the Client’s self-care and self-sufficiency, emphasize adaptation and abilities, promote wellness and provide preventative health education, thus by treating the whole person
• Proven ability to complete assessments, RAPS, and individualized care plans accurately and within required timeframesSupporting the unregulated care workers through guidance, direction, training and education
• Post-graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration is an asset
• Performing other duties as assigned

What You Need To Know

• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate.
• Current Medication Administration Certificate.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
