Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for Aspira Doon Village in Ontario. You will provide compassionate nursing care, administer medications, document care, and contribute to residents' daily well-being.

The role supports a geriatric population in a home-like setting with a focus on safety, dignity, and personalized care. Must have RPN registration, BCLS, Medication Administration Certificate, and at least 1 year in geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate.
• Current Medication Administration Certificate.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in geriatric nursing, healthcare and/or rehabilitation as an RPN.
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit.
• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Sienna Senior Living may utilize artificial intelligence to screen or assess applicants for this position.

Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of safe medication administration, with the ability to prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and the College of Nurses of Ontario standards

• Supporting the unregulated care workers through guidance, direction, training and education
• Post-graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration is an asset
