Job summary

Brunel seeks an experienced Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our client’s team in Victoria, BC. You will support multiple LTC homes and retirement communities with safe drug distribution and compounding checks, expanding skills in geriatrics, palliative care and mental health medications.

Ideal candidates are registered with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia and in good standing, with knowledge of KROLL systems and a customer-focused approach to ensure accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
• Strong data-entry skills for eMAR.
• Experience with KROLL Pharmacy systems in long-term care is a plus.
• Retail/Community/Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with preparation, packaging and distribution of prescriptions.
• Ensure all prescriptions are complete and authentic.
• Gather and confirm necessary information for prescriptions.
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll.
• Verify accuracy of pharmaceutical products and perform final checks before release.
• Maintain documentation, confidentiality and a clean pharmacy environment.

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our clients team located in Victoria, BC. As the Registered Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for supporting a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities in delivering safe and effective drug distribution services across multiple facilities. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in areas such as geriatrics, palliative care, and mental health medications. The successful candidate will also enhance their accuracy and efficiency in performing final checks related to compounding, compliance packaging, and other prescription fulfillment processes. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity available immediately.

We are seeking candidates who possess experience or new graduates who are registered and in good standing health with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions.
• Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic.
• Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information.
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll.
• Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release.
• Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
• Knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy systems in a long-term care setting is a strong asset.
• Retail/Community/Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated computer or work processing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
