Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Pharmasave in Salmon Arm, BC.

You will transcribe verbal prescriptions, ensure patient safety, transfer and receive prescriptions, process orders, perform final checks, and maintain confidential patient records. Experience with compounding is helpful, and you will supervise Pharmacy Assistants to keep prescriptions accurate and efficiently filled.

Qualifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with British Columbia College of Pharmacists.
  • Familiarity with Kroll and billing is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and accurately transcribe verbal prescriptions from healthcare providers.
  • Ensure patient safety through accurate and high-quality preparation and release of medications.
  • Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies.
  • Process prescriptions by entering orders, counting, measuring, compounding, and packaging medications.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Experience with compounding an asset, but not necessary. Desire to learn important.
  • Oversee Pharmacy Assistants to ensure efficient and safe prescription filling.
