Qualifications

• Current licensed or eligible for license with the Nova Scotia College of Nurses.
• Willingness to work in long-term care or home care settings.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe, compassionate, competent and ethical care for residents.
• Administer direct nursing care and plan resident care with the care team.
• Administering and recording prescribed medication.
• Diabetes management, dialysis, IV medications, palliative care, phlebotomy, wound care in home care.

Responsibilities:

Long-term Care

• Practice safe, compassionate, competent, and ethical care throughout the continuum of health and wellness of the residents.
• Administer direct nursing care and plan Resident care in consultation from the multidisciplinary care team.
• Administering and recording prescribed medication

Home Care

• Diabetes management
• Dialysis
• IV medications
• Palliative care

• Wound care

Core Requirements
