Job summary

Health Association Nova Scotia, in partnership with the Department of Seniors and Long-term Care, is recruiting Licensed Practical Nurses for long-term care across Nova Scotia's Western Zone. You'll work with Registered Nurses to provide resident care and supervise Continuing Care Attendants.

Positions include home nursing and community settings; immediate openings with attractive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed (or eligible for license) with the Nova Scotia College of Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with various personal care activities
• Use of lifts and slings to transfer patients with a movement disorder
• Administration of medication
• Nighttime monitoring and assistance
• Light housekeeping (Laundry, washing dishes, sweeping and wiping of surfaces)
• Basic food prep of a blenderized feed for the clients
• Outings in the community
• Facilitation of community inclusion activities
