Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted New York State RN license.
• Minimum 1 year of nurse experience in a Long Term Care setting.
• Supervisor/clinical lead experience over multiple units.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing staff during the evening shift.
• Provide clinical guidance to RNs, LPNs, CNAs and other care team members.
• Monitor resident/patient care and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Respond to changes in condition and medical emergencies appropriately.
• Communicate with physicians, families and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Conduct rounds and assess residents/patients for changes in condition.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and medication administration.
• Assist with staffing, assignments and maintaining shift coverage.
• Promote compliance with facility policies and regulations.
• Provide leadership and support to staff while maintaining a positive work environment.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
• Address clinical concerns and help resolve issues during the shift.
