WorkFit Medical Staffing in Waterloo is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team on a per diem basis. The CNA will provide high-quality, hands-on care and support to residents/patients while promoting their comfort, dignity, safety, and overall well‑being.

The ideal candidate is patient-focused, reliable, and able to work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Current CNA certification in New York.
  • 1 year long-term care experience required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
  • Take and record vital signs and other patient information as directed.
  • Assist with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and mobility.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents/patients.
  • Observe and report changes in residents' condition to the nursing staff.
  • Assist with meals and monitor food and fluid intake as needed.
  • Provide compassionate emotional and social support.
  • Follow all facility policies, procedures, and infection-control guidelines.
  • Accurately document care provided.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals.
