Northern Health - BC is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join the University Hospital of Northern BC in the Post Anesthetic Recovery Unit. You will collaborate with an interprofessional team to deliver compassionate post-anesthetic care to patients.

As a PAR RN, you will assess, plan, provide, coordinate and evaluate nursing care, guided by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives standards and a patient- and family-centred care model.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients recovering from anesthetics in the Post Anesthetic Recovery Unit.
• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate nursing care as part of an interprofessional team.
• Adhere to professional practice standards and BC College of Nurses and Midwives Code of Ethics.

The Registered Nurse-Post Anesthetic Recovery (PAR), working collaboratively with the interprofessional team, provides direct nursing care to patients recovering from anesthetics within the Post Anesthetic Recovery Unit by assessing, planning, providing, coordinating and evaluating nursing care. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (rotating)
