Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate patient care at GR Baker Memorial Hospital. Under supervision, the RN will practice per BC nursing standards and work within a patient- and family-centered care model.

The role includes obstetrical care across intra-, postpartum, and high-risk antepartum periods, collaborating with an inter-professional team to ensure quality outcomes. Labour & Delivery training is required.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Experience in obstetrical care and high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides direct patient care to obstetrical patients during intra-, postpartum and high-risk antepartum periods and other medical/surgical patients.
• Demonstrates nursing knowledge and uses evidence-based practice to assess, plan, provide, and evaluate care.
• Collaborates with inter-professional team to ensure patient- and family-centered care.

This job description addresses various scenarios where nurses are required to work in one or more areas requiring advanced training & experience.

The Registered Nurse - Perinatal/Medical/Surgical, working collaboratively with the inter-professional team, plans and provides direct patient care to obstetrical patients during the intra, postpartum and high-risk antepartum periods and other assigned medical/surgical patients by assessing, planning, providing and evaluating nursing care. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

Days, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (rotating)
