The Registered Nurse:
This is a Relief Full Tine (1.00) opportunity until November 01, 2026, or the return of the incumbent.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:30 to 19:30, 19:30 to 07:30 hours.
Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) is in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap health service area and is one of two Interior Health tertiary referral hospitals. Located in Kamloops, RIH offers high‑level, specialty medical care including core physician specialties, 24 emergency and trauma services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic services. Specialty services include ambulatory psychiatry, elderly mental health, clinical nutrition, and lung health. As part of the Women’s and Children’s Health Services team, you will work to care for a variety of patient types from preterm to adult, following them through their individual journey’s. Ante-/intra-/post‑partum patients. We will soon be in our new state‑of‑the‑art Tower in which we will be able to provide care in private family room spaces and we will be connected to our amazing new NICU space, improving care needs! We pride ourselves on ensuring that new staff are set up for success. Education days and unit orientation are imperative to ensure that you feel prepared to care for our diverse patient population. Our team works very closely with a variety of experts, including our multidisciplinary team, and we learn from our physicians, obstetricians, pediatricians, midwives, social workers, dieticians etc.
