Job summary

Northern Health seeks an experienced Clinical Mentor to support nursing staff at Dawson Creek Hospital. You will mentor, coach, and advise clinicians, focusing on delivering exceptional patient care and building practice excellence.

You will collaborate with nurse educators to provide hands-on coaching, lead staff development, and champion clinical practice initiatives across the ER/HAU units. A willingness to travel is required.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 3+ years ER/HAU experience
• Willingness to travel and support multiple sites

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Clinical Mentor role functions as an experienced clinical mentor, resource, and champion in the delivery of excellent client care to nurses and other team members. Working in conjunction with nurse educators, provides rapid elbow-to-elbow clinical mentorship and practice support for nursing staff. Utilizes experience and clinical skills to function as a clinical resource to formally advise other nursing staff in nursing practice, provides clinical instruction and supports staff training and development. Takes on a leadership role in performing functions such as mentoring staff to support skills development and supporting clinical practice initiatives.

This position will support the ER and HAU equally for the Dawson Creek Hospital. Must have 3+ years of recent and relevant ER/ HAU experience. Must be willing to travel.
