Job summary

Baptist Housing's Smith Creek Village in West Kelowna, BC, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a casual role. You will lead clinical teams, develop care plans, assess residents, and perform medications and transfers in a supportive, mission-driven community.

The role requires a BSN, current BC nurse registration, First Aid, and experience in long-term care. We offer competitive hourly pay, a collaborative work environment, mentorship, and the chance to live in Kelowna’s scenic Okanagan Valley.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Good standing or eligible for British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in our Smith Creek Village community you will provide team leadership, develop care plans, assess unstable residents, and execute various nursing interventions, including medication administration, treatment, and patient transfers.

• Deliver high‑quality nursing care in accordance with BCCNM standards
• Conduct assessments, administer medications, and manage complex health conditions
• Develop and implement person‑centred care plans
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to team members
• Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
• Participate in quality improvement and ensure health and safety compliance
• Model Baptist Housing’s ministry values and practice servant leadership
• Work in a vibrant and scenic community in Kelowna, located in the Okanagan Valley

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
• A member in good standing or eligible for membership with British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM)
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Experience as a nurse in a long‑term care environment, preferably

Benefits

Level 3 RNs are compensated at an hourly rate ranging from $41.42 to $55.91 as outlined in the Provincial BC Nurses Collective Agreement.
