Job summary

Baptist Housing is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Inglewood community in West Vancouver, BC. You will provide clinical leadership, develop care plans, assess residents with complex needs, and manage medications and transfers in a compassionate, resident‑centred approach.

Guided by BCCNM standards, you’ll support a collaborative team, mentor colleagues, and contribute to quality care in a supportive community setting near Ambleside Park.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • A member in good standing or eligible for membership with British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Food Safe Certificate.
  • Experience as a nurse in a long-term care environment, preferably.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in accordance with BCCNM standards and policies.
  • Conduct resident assessments and manage care for complex or unstable conditions.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
  • Lead and support development of individualized care plans.
  • Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, residents and families.
  • Participate in quality improvement, audits and best practice implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, infection control and risk management protocols.

As the Registered Nurse, you'll provide team leadership, develop care plans, assess unstable residents, and execute various nursing interventions, including medication administration, treatment, and patient transfers.

About The Role

As a Registered Nurse at our Inglewood community in West Vancouver, you play a vital role in delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to our residents. Guided by BCCNM standards and Baptist Housing’s ministry values, you provide clinical leadership, support person-centred care planning, and contribute to a collaborative team environment. You act as a role model and ambassador for Baptist Housing, demonstrating servant leadership while supporting residents, families, and colleagues. Inglewood is ideally located near Ambleside Park and Capilano River Regional Park, offering a beautiful and accessible work setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care in accordance with BCCNM standards and organizational policies
  • Conduct resident assessments and manage care for residents with complex or unstable health conditions
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
  • Lead and support the development and implementation of individualized, person-centred care plans
  • Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to team members
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families to support quality outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and best practice implementation
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, infection control, and risk management protocols
  • Model Baptist Housing’s ministry values and servant leadership in all interactions
  • Relocation assistance will be provided to successful out of town applicants
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
  • A member in good standing or eligible for membership with British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM)

  • Experience as a nurse in a long-term care environment, preferably.

Compensation & Benefits

The Master Collective Compensation detailed in the Provincial BC Nurses Collective Agreement encompasses competitive vacation allowances along with extended health and dental benefits, a municipal pension plan, an employee and family assistance program, and opportunities for professional development. Level 3 RNs are compensated at an hourly rate ranging from $41.42-55.91
