Job description

JOB :

Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager and working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the duties of Registered Nurse / Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) include working with the health care team to assess and engage new clients / patients, documenting assessments, and developing and carrying out care plans and interventions in consultation with team members. In collaboration with team members, the Primary Care Nurse participates in and facilitates team and case management meetings.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

• Education and Experience :
• Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a practicing RN registrant or RPN registrant.
• Two (2) years’ recent related experience working with diverse marginalized populations in health care settings or community, including primary care, HIV, addictions, and/or mental health settings.
• Previous experience working with an interdisciplinary team or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Completion of the Point of Care HIV Testing course, and successful completion of the BCCDC Immunization certificate and Narcan Certification, or a commitment to complete these within six (6) months of hire.
• BCCDC Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Management certification, or evidence of enrollment and a commitment to complete within six (6) months of hire.
