Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room team at the St. Joseph's Hospital ER in Tampa, FL. This full-time, in-person position requires a nursing license, ER experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

The RN will deliver compassionate, high-quality care with strong clinical skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care plan updates, and collaboration with physicians and the health care team.

• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Weekend requirement - every other weekend
• On Call: No
• Always in person

Requirements

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse - Responsibilities And Skills

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
