BayCare Health System invites applications for a Registered Nurse – ICU position at our CV ICU in Tampa, Florida. This full-time role requires a 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM shift with every other weekend work and no on-call duties, all in person.

We seek a licensed RN with nursing degrees and 1 year ICU experience in acute care, plus BLS and ACLS certifications. BayCare emphasizes clinical excellence and compassionate patient care, with extensive training and mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications

• RN License required.
• Diploma, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s in Nursing.
• Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year RN ICU experience in acute care setting.
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or AHA).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Provide independent care for a group of ICU patients using nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate care activities to health care team members.
• Care for patient needs throughout recovery in critical care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient vitals and assessments to the care team.
• Identify sudden or subtle changes in patient condition and respond to emergencies.
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care post-discharge.
• Maintain high emotional intelligence to create positive patient experiences and explain medical concepts clearly.
• Demonstrate professional accountability and development.

Requirements

• 1-year RN experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting

The Registered Nurse – ICU Responsibilities And Skills

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
