St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver professional nursing care for patients with varied and complex needs. The role includes administering treatments, leading within the clinical team, and coordinating patient care and discharge planning.

The position is a term, 1.00 FTE, in-person with day, night, and weekend shifts, aiming for seamless care delivery in the Medicine Clinical Teaching Unit.

Competenze

• Two (2) years recent acute medicine or cardiology or CSIU or emergency nursing experience required.
• Nurses currently working on the unit will be deemed qualified.
• Successful completion of the Cardiac Rhythms Course when the opportunity to take the course is scheduled by the employer, or as otherwise mutually agreed to between the nurse and employer.

Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the REGISTERED NURSE (RN) provides professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. These services include independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, a leadership role within the health care team, and coordination of patient care and discharge.

Experience

• Two (2) years recent acute medicine or cardiology or CSIU or emergency nursing experience required.
• Nurses currently working on the unit will be deemed qualified.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Successful completion of the Cardiac Rhythms Course when the opportunity to take the course is scheduled by the employer, or as otherwise mutually agreed to between the nurse and employer.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• CRNM registration required.
• Active participating in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
• ANNUAL BLS LEVEL C REGISTRATION/RE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

• Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
