Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance is hiring a Part-Time Registered Nurse for Multi-Unit coverage in the Home Base Emergency Department in Wingham, Ontario. The role encompasses inpatient and emergency care across multiple units, providing nursing care with the multidisciplinary team and ensuring patient-focused outcomes.

The position starts as soon as possible, with salary per ONA scale. Registration with CNO and additional certifications are required or preferred, and the hospital supports

Qualifications

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Diploma/Degree from a recognized College/University, BScN preferred
• Two years related nursing experience in acute care setting preferred
• PALS/ENCP, TNCC/ATLS, and other certifications preferred

The Wingham and District Hospital is a modern, progressive acute care facility providing medical, surgical, obstetrical, paediatric, chronic and rehabilitation bed and other services, including 24-hour emergency coverage.

SALARY RANGE: As per ONA Salary Scale POSITION SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with patients, physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members.

Qualifications

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Diploma/Degree from a recognized College/University, BScN preferred
• BCLS, ACLS and NRP Certification
• PALS/ENCP Certification
• Basic Cardiac Arrhythmias Certification, Defibrillator Certification
• 15 Lead ECG Interpretation Certification
• TNCC / ATLS, CTAS Course
• Palliative Care Education and Critical Care Course preferred
• CAN Gerontology, Med/Surg and / or Cardiovascular Certification preferred
• Demonstrated appropriate management of delirium in the acute care / post-acute care setting preferred
• Two years related nursing experience working in acute care setting preferred
• Working knowledge of Cerner software computer applications information system and related peripheral hardware preferred
