Job summary

Brightshores in Markdale, Ontario seeks a part-time Registered Nurse to promote health, assess and treat patients on a Medical/Surgical/ER continuum. You will provide care across preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitative modalities and support continuous quality improvement.

The role requires current Ontario RN registration, ability to interpret arrhythmias, ACLS/PALS/BCLS, and a commitment to professional development. Weekend/shift flexibility and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or eligibility.
• Ability to interpret basic arrhythmias and work on Medical/Surgical Unit as required.
• Commitment to patient safety and continuous professional development.
• Ability to escort patients via ambulance and adapt to shifts.

DEPARTMENT: EMERGENCY POSITION LOCATION: MARKDALE UNION AFFILIATION: ONA STATUS: PART-TIME REASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENT WAGE RATE: $41.15 - $58.98 Reporting to the site Manager, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the promotion of health and the assessment of, the provision of care of, and the treatment of health conditions by supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitative means to patients in order to attain or maintain optimal function.

Skills/Abilities/Qualifications

Required

• Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or eligibility
• Ability and willingness to interpret basic arrhythmias
• Ability and willingness to work on Medical/Surgical Unit as required
• Current certification in or willingness to obtain:

Preferred

• Emergency Nursing Certificate
• Physical Assessment Course
• TNCC or equivalent
• Recent Medical/Surgical/PACU/Day Surgery/Critical Care experience
• Two years recent Emergency experience
