Job summary

The Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time multi-unit role (ED, Med/Surg) in Huron and Perth. The RN will promote patient health, collaborate with the care team, and support patients and families across shifts, including weekends and holidays. This position begins November 10, 2026.

Eligibility requires CNO registration, a nursing diploma or degree, and relevant certifications. Experience in acute care and Cerner usage are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Diploma/Degree from a recognized College/University, BScN preferred.
• Specialized certifications and courses as required for area.
• BCLS, ACLS and NRP Certifications.
• TNCC/ATLS and CTAS Courses.
• ECG and critical care related certifications may be preferred.
• Two years acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Cerner software.

The Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance was formed on July 1, 2003 as a partnership between Listowel Memorial Hospital and Wingham and District Hospital. • Rehabilitation department including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology
• Multiple outpatient specialist clinics held on a regular basis to provide local service

Position: Registered Nurse, Multi-Unit (ED, Med/Surg)

Region: Huron and Perth

Description: The Registered Nurse promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with patients, physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members. This is a part-time position that is anticipated to begin November 10, 2026. The successful candidate will have the ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ability to organize, problem solve, critical thinking and decision making.
• Demonstrated application of role in Code situation (ex. Code Blue).
• Communicates with patients, families, physicians, staff and community partners.
• Observing and recording patient behavior. Evaluates patient outcomes.
• Competent operation of medical equipment.
• Performing diagnostic tests within scope of practice.
• Safely Administering medications and treatments.

Qualifications

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Diploma/Degree from a recognized College/University, BScN preferred
• Specialized certifications and courses related to area of specialization as required
• BCLS, ACLS and NRP Certification
• PALS/ENCP Certification
• TNCC/ATLS and CTAS Course
• Basic Cardiac Arrhythmias Certification, Defibrillation Certification
• 15 Lead ECG Interpretation Certification
• Critical Care Course preferred
• CNA Emergency Nursing Certification preferred
• Maternal Newborn Course preferred
• Two years related nursing experience working in acute care setting preferred
• Working knowledge of Cerner software computer applications information system and related peripheral hardware preferred
• High degree of physical effort
• High degree of mental effort and analysis

Salary: As per ONA salary scale
