Job summary

Brightshores Health System seeks a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical department in Meaford, Ontario. This part-time, temporary role involves promoting health, assessing needs, and delivering care across preventive, therapeutic, palliative, and rehabilitation services.

The position requires current RN registration in Ontario (or eligibility), ability to interpret basic arrhythmias, and willingness to work emergencies.

Qualifications

• Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or eligibility.
• Ability to interpret basic arrhythmias.
• Willingness to work in Emergency as required.
• Certification in ACLS, BCLS, CCU 1 or equivalent.
• Leadership, problem solving and critical thinking.
• Assess and interview patients effectively.
• Willing to escort patients via ambulance when needed.
• Flex time to meet unit and patient needs.
• Commitment to patient safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Promote health and assess patient needs; provide care and treatment.

STATUS: PART-TIME, TEMPORARY (APPROX. END DATE JUNE 2027)

REASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENT

WAGE RATE: $41.15 - $58.98

Reporting to the site Manager, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the promotion of health and the assessment of, the provision of care of, and the treatment of health conditions by supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitative means to patients in order to attain or maintain optimal function

Skills/Abilities/Qualifications

Required

• Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or eligibility
• Ability and willingness to interpret basic arrhythmias
• Ability and willingness to work in Emergency as required
• Current certification in or willingness to obtain:
