We believe that recovery from mental health and addictions is different for everyone.

As a Registered Nurse, you’ll collaborate with clients and provide guidance to the clinical and multidisciplinary teams to assess and advocate for the supports they need to achieve physical and mental wellness. Our Nursing Team works with community and hospital partners to provide excellent collaborative care, focusing on social determinants of health. This role involves administering psychotropic injections, health teaching, medication reconciliation, coordinating appointments, and providing diabetes care and lifestyle supports to help clients achieve their recovery goals.

Successful candidates must have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last six months. Applicants residing in London are encouraged to apply for one promptly, as PVSC processing takes approximately 2 weeks, and employment offers cannot be made without receipt of a PVSC.

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Starting pay is $32.13 per hour (Level 1 of the RN/OT Grid); successful external applicants will start at Level 1, with progression up to Level 8, $41.41 per hour. Internal applicants will be placed on the grid based on seniority.
  • Work schedule is predominantly Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, with scheduled team meetings and education sessions.
  • Benefits include extended healthcare after a 90-day waiting period and enrollment in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP).

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

  • Conduct physical and psychiatric assessments, make referrals, assess medication effectiveness, and manage side effects.
  • Coordinate and administer depot injections in the community.
  • Assist clients with health decisions, develop health promotion groups, and ensure quality care adhering to standards.
  • Maintain documentation, identify high-risk clients, and provide crisis intervention when needed.
  • Support clients with diverse backgrounds using sensitivity and therapeutic modalities.

What You'll Need To Apply:

Police Vulnerable Sector Check Requirements: Must be completed within the last six months. London residents are encouraged to apply early due to processing times.

  • Baccalaureate Degree or Diploma in Nursing (original or official transcript required).
  • Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses.
  • Excellent communication skills, computer literacy, valid driver’s license, vehicle, and adequate insurance.
  • Ability to attend work regularly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current CPR certification.
  • Bilingual in both official languages of Canada.
