Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one private duty nursing in clients' homes.
• Conduct nursing assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Administer medications and manage medication administration.
• Perform wound care and dressing changes.
• Provide injections and prescribed treatments as ordered.
• Monitor vital signs and chronic conditions; report changes.

We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team on a casual basis and provide private duty nursing services to clients in their homes and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-on-one private duty nursing care in clients' homes
• Completing nursing assessments and monitoring changes in client condition
• Medication administration and medication management
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Injections and other prescribed nursing treatments
• Catheter and ostomy care
• Monitoring vital signs and chronic health conditions
• Supporting clients following hospitalization, surgery, or illness
• Providing palliative and end-of-life nursing support when required
• Developing, reviewing, and following individualized care plans
• Educating clients and family members regarding care needs
• Maintaining accurate and timely nursing documentation
• Communicating with physicians, pharmacists, family members, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate
• Identifying and reporting changes in a client's health or safety
• Providing compassionate, respectful, client-centred care

Qualifications

• Current registration and good standing as an LPN or RN in Saskatchewan
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Recent nursing experience is an asset
• Experience in home care, community nursing, senior care, palliative care, wound care, or complex care is an asset
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a client's home
• Reliable, professional, compassionate, and client-focused
• Successful criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are preferred, depending on client location
