Job summary

ComForCare Home Care – Saskatchewan is seeking compassionate LPNs and RNs to join on a casual basis to provide private duty nursing in clients' homes across Saskatchewan, including Prince Albert.

You will perform assessments, administer medications, manage wounds, educate families, and maintain thorough documentation while supporting clients to stay safe and independent at home. Flexible shifts and supportive management offered.

Qualifications

• Current registration and good standing as an LPN or RN in Saskatchewan.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience in home care, community nursing, senior care, palliative care, wound care, or complex care is an asset.
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a client's home.
• Reliable, professional, compassionate, and client-focused.
• Successful criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred, depending on client location.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-on-one private duty nursing care in clients' homes
• Completing nursing assessments and monitoring changes in client condition
• Medication administration and medication management
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Injections and other prescribed nursing treatments
• Catheter and ostomy care
• Monitoring vital signs and chronic health conditions
• Supporting clients following hospitalization, surgery, or illness
• Providing palliative and end-of-life nursing support when required

• Educating clients and family members regarding care needs
• Maintaining accurate and timely nursing documentation
• Communicating with physicians, pharmacists, family members, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate
