Qualifications

• At least one year of caregiving experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care setting.
• CCA certification is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
• Clear criminal record check including vulnerable sector check.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
• Dependability and ability to work independently while communicating with the care team.
• Commitment to client dignity, privacy, safety and independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing and hygiene.
• Support safe mobility, transfers, and prescribed range-of-motion exercises.
• Prepare meals and assist with eating as needed.
• Help with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands with approved transport.
• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement.
• Offer respite support for family caregivers.
• Follow care plans and document care provided; report changes promptly.

Your Role
