Job summary

AgeCare Ltd. in Canada is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to collaborate with the Director of Care to deliver resident care within the scope of competency.

You will integrate knowledge, skills, and judgment to provide safe, ethical nursing services, promoting a culture of safety and respect for residents, families, and staff. You will lead shift reports, document changes in residents’ condition, review physician orders, and promptly communicate any barriers to care to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing and active provincial registration.
• Registration in good standing with provincial nursing registry.
• Knowledge of applicable Canadian health acts and regulations.
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing and other services for residents within the neighbourhood and with other services in the residence.
• Lead shift report with health care team, ensuring all members are informed of changes in residents’ status.
• Record significant changes in residents’ condition and ensure accurate documentation in the residents’ chart.
• Review physician orders and ensure timely implementation per procedure.
• Communicate any difficulties in processing physician orders to the Director of Care/Assistant Director of Care.
