Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to provide professional nursing care to residents, collaborate with the health team, and guide Personal Support Workers. The role emphasizes adherence to Ontario nursing standards and active involvement in care planning.

You will partner with RNs, notify physicians of changes, and contribute to shift reports while promoting a supportive, inclusive care culture and high-quality resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• A sound knowledge base in geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing.
• Familiarity with applicable laws and Ontario standards for nurses.
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the RN to implement policies and revise procedures.
• Liaise with physicians and the health care team; notify changes in resident status.
• Work with team to meet residents' needs and provide direction to PSWs.
• Participate in shift reports to inform on resident status changes.
