Job summary

Collingwood General & Marine Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the ICU for a temporary part‑time (about 6 months) backfill. The role offers an hourly rate of 41.15 to 58.98 CAD and requires active RN registration with the CNO, and ICU/acute care experience.

You'll support critically ill patients, collaborate with the care team, and provide education to families. Benefits include education funding, vacation pay, and HOOPP options, with 12‑hour shifts scheduled.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Two years nursing experience in acute care or ICU setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Coronary Care I or willingness to complete within six months.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients.
• Provide nursing care and treatments within RN scope.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient care.
• Deliver supportive, therapeutic, palliative, and rehabilitative care.
• Educate patients and families and promote health and wellness.
• Ensure safe, high‑quality care in accordance with CNO standards.
