Job summary

Headwaters Health Care Centre in Ontario is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the ICU on a temporary full-time basis.

The successful candidate will provide general and specialized nursing care in the ICU, adhering to Nursing Practice standards and Headwaters' care standards.

Candidates must be an actively licensed RN with BScN preferred, current BCLS, ACLS, and critical care certification; experience with mechanical ventilation and arterial/central line maintenance is valued.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• BScN preferred, minimum completion of Diploma in Nursing.
• Current BCLS certificate required.
• Coronary Care 1 certificate required.
• Current ACLS certificate required.
• Critical Care Certificate required.
• Recent experience in a Critical Care environment or equivalent.
• Management of Aggressive Behaviour or equivalent preferred.
• Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) certification preferred.
• Experience with mechanical ventilation preferred.
• Experience with arterial lines and central lines maintenance.
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize care and adapt to changes.
• Demonstrated critical thinking decision making skills.
