Qualifications
Sound knowledge of geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing.
Familiarity with nursing administration and patient safety practices.
Registration in good standing with the provincial nursing registry.
Responsibilities
Coordinates nursing and other services for residents within the neighbourhood and with the residence's teams.
Leads shift reports with the health care team and communicates changes in residents' status.
Records significant changes in residents’ condition and ensures chart documentation complies with policies and standards.
Reviews and processes physician orders promptly and communicates issues to the Director of Care.
