Job summary

Brightshores Health System in Owen Sound is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time temporary position in Emergency. Qualifications

• Ontario College of Nurses registration or eligibility (licensure requirement).
• Current BCLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• 12-24 months emergency room/critical care experience.
• Demonstrate Emergency Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate emergency patients.

Responsibilities

• Promote health and assess, provide care for critically ill adults, children and infants in the Emergency Department.

WAGE RATE: $41.15 – $58.98

Reporting to the Manager, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the promotion of health and the assessment of, the provision of care of, and the treatment of health conditions by supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitative means to critically ill adults, children and infants, in order to attain or maintain optimal function.

Required

• Ontario College of Nurses registration or eligibility

• Demonstrate the Emergency Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement and evaluated emergency patients (to be tested)

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals
• Demonstrate willingness to participate in staff meeting and unit specific projects
• Willingness to coach and mentor new staff and students
