Job summary

Bruyère Health in Ottawa, Ontario, is seeking a temporary, part-time RPN to join the Complex Care (3 North) team. The role involves delivering safe, patient-centered nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team under the Clinical Manager.

Qualified candidates have an RPN medication administration course, valid CNO registration, and BLS CPR Level C. Fluency in French and English, and rehabilitation experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of RPN medication administration course or equivalent.
  • Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Level C certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, effective, patient-centered nursing care to patients according to scope of practice and Bruyère Health policies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, loved ones, colleagues and other health discipline members.
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team under the supervision of the Clinical Manager.

POSITION TYPE : Temporary, Part-time, Day/Evening, 15 hours / pay period, 0.2 FTE

SALARY SCALE : $37.323 to $38.663 per hour

What would my role be?

Reporting to Clinical Manager, as a member of the interdisciplinary team you will deliver safe, effective, patient-centered, ethical and evidence-based nursing care to patients according to scope of practice and in accordance with Bruyère Health policies, procedures and standards and with the College of Nurses of Ontario standards. You will communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with patients and their loved ones, colleagues and other health discipline members.

How do I qualify?
Required
  • Successful completion of RPN medication administration course or equivalent
  • Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Level C certificate
Preferred
  • Rehabilitation Nursing Education / Certification
  • Experience in rehabilitation
  • Membership in Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO)
  • Fluent in French and English
