AgeCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate resident care with the care team and manage shifts in our Calgary-area facility. You will integrate knowledge, skills, and judgment to provide safe, ethical nursing services to residents living in a long-term care setting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, registration in good standing, and a strong background in geriatric or long-term care nursing.

They will integrate and apply the knowledge, skills, judgment, and interpersonal attributes required to provide safe and ethical professional nursing services to residents. The RN provides quality and safe resident care. Within the scope of this position, the RN takes on a key role to continually provide an environment promoting a culture of resident safety and freedom from harm and injury.**What You Will Do*** Coordinates nursing and other services for the residents within the neighbourhood and with other services within the residence.* Leads shift report with members of the health care team, ensuring that all team members are informed of changes in residents’ status.* Records significant changes in residents’ condition; ensures documentation in the residents’ chart adheres to AgeCare policies and procedures and Provincial College of Nurses and Standards of Practice.* Reviews and processes physician orders as per procedure, ensuring orders are implemented as soon as possible.
