Alberta Health Services in Peace River is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide a wide range of nursing services across patients, families and communities, while ensuring safety and well-being. You will use nursing processes, critical thinking and decision making, and you will teach, counsel and advocate for patients and families.
The role offers cross-training in Emergency, Obstetrics and Acute Care, with leadership to support an integrated, holistic approach to care.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. This dynamic role offers fully supported cross-training in Emergency, Obstetrics, and Acute Care. Once cross-trained, you will use your expanded skill set to provide vital nursing support and coverage across these applicable units as assigned to meet operational needs and changing patient volumes. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. Relocation assistance available. This position may qualify for a $15,000 to $20,000 Recruitment Incentive.

Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.
Completion of an accredited nursing education program.Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
