Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Brampton is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our Preschool Classroom team. You will work alongside teachers and families to create a welcoming home-like environment for children, delivering a BrightPath curriculum and promoting well-being.

Requirements include REC E and Ontario College of ECE membership, First Aid/CPR, immunization, and health assessment; we offer great benefits, a 40% childcare discount for full-time staff, and professional development

Qualifications

• RECE in good standing with Ontario College of ECE.
• Meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Immunization and health assessment per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program aligned with BrightPath’s curriculum to support children's development.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Assess children's abilities, interests and needs; discuss progress with parents and staff.
• Build collaborative relationships with coworkers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $17.60 - $18.00 per hour, Government Wage Enhancement offered on top of hourly pay

What will you be doing?

As a Registered Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) - must be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of ECE
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
