Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Waterdown, ON is hiring a Registered Early Childhood Educator to work with teachers and families, creating a warm, home-like learning environment for children. You will implement BrightPath’s curriculum, promote safety, and collaborate with staff and parents.

Requirements include RECE status with the Ontario College of ECE, standard first aid and infant CPR, immunization compliance, and a commitment to professional development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program aligned with BrightPath’s curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom.
• Assess child development and discuss progress with parents and staff.
• Collaborate with coworkers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development activities.
• Support program planning and classroom organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As a Registered Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• RegisteredEarly Childhood Educator (RECE) - must be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of ECE
