Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) - Maternity Leave Contract

Tiny Hoppers - Barrie, Big Bay Point is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic RECE for a one-year maternity leave contract starting March 3, 2025. We provide a safe and stimulating learning environment for infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children.
• Implement daily programming and classroom routines.
• Prepare activities and learning environments.
• Conduct observations and documentation to support child development.
• Communicate effectively with families and colleagues.
• Maintain a healthy, safe, and welcoming environment.
• Adhere to Ministry of Education regulations, the CCEYA, and Tiny Hoppers' policies.
• Attend required meetings and professional development sessions.
• Work various shifts between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications:

• ECE Diploma/Degree from a recognized institution.
• Current registration with the College of ECE is in good standing.
• 1+ years of experience working with children aged 6 months to 5 years.
• Working knowledge of the CCEYA and Licensing Act.
• Familiarity with "How Does Learning Happen?"

Requirements Upon Hiring:

• Valid Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screen (within the last 6 months).
• CCEYA Child Care Self-Test, Schedule 1.
• Up-to-date immunization records (Tetanus and MMR).
• Medically fit to work letter.
• Workers Health and Safety Awareness Certificate.
• Food Handler's Certificate (preferred).

Compensation:

• Competitive wage ($24.86/hour).
• Health and dental benefits after a three-month probationary period.
• On-site parking.
